a. Why did you choose the specific image(s)? (3 Marks)

I chose the first two photos to engage my audience of homeowners and nature enthusiasts. This emulates what this part of my audience cares about which is improving oneself and their home environment to a more purposeful and serene space. Highlighting real people engaging and enjoying the benefits my paintings promise to provide, which is to bring the outdoors in and provide a peaceful environment. The minimalist white room draws attention to the artwork and highlights how it can transform a simplistic space into an environment with vibrant energy and calming effects. The photos show how the paintings can enhance the room’s aesthetic and energy without overpowering it. This appeals to my segment of homeowners who value a balanced, clean design, bt also speaks volumes to the natural presence it brings into any room.

The models in my photos represent the different lifestyles that resonate with the audience. This helps engage the audience by representing the paintings in a room with people who reflect their values and sense of self. These models help simulate that the paintings aren’t just a piece of art but an essential part of creating a harmonious living environment that reflects their values and things they care about. This creates an emotional connection to the audience and invites them to imagine themselves in that same peaceful setting. By emotionally connecting the audience, we are pulling them down our sales funnel by bringing them closer to the decision making stage because we are reinforcing positive emotion and lifestyle aspirations, which is key for the nature enthusiast home owners.

By incorporating these elements, these photos are speaking directly to the core desires of the target audience. Showing the paintings in the heart of the home (bedrooms) will create a sense of need for my brand, which is the need for tranquility, connection to nature, and an enjoyable living environment. They also resonate with my brand, which is that my prints are more than just art but something to support wellbeing, and will bring the vibrant effects of the outdoors into their home.

The three images in lounge/office of my paintings in a corporate lounge office setting are extremely beneficial for targeting my professional audience, particularly businesses and organizations looking to enhance their workspace. Each image was carefully selected to showcase different values they have.

  1. The pure white room with bold and colourful sunset represents how the art can enhance and add colour and depth to a minimalist and clean professional environment. This can resonate with people who are looking to add some colourful inspiration that incorporates nature to their otherwise sterile space. The plant in the photo brings a bit of an extra element of the outdoors to this photo without drowning out the impact the painting has on the room, which is bringing the outdoors in. This audience cares about cohesive design that inspires creativity and productivity by bringing beauty and colour without distracting or overwhelming the room.
  2. My second image appeals to color lovers and trend seekers. The vibrant colors and bold choices reflect part of the audience that there is a painting for every style and that the same paintings can fit seamlessly in multiple different spaces. These individuals care about the energy that their decor brings to the room and like to be uplifted when they walk in. They are looking to make bold statements in their office or lounge areas. This highlights the versatility of my paintings and appeals to people who enjoy stylish modern work environments that inspire happiness and energized environments. I chose an orange room because orange is a very engaging and positive colour, and it also goes well with the sunset painting. This painting, in particular, is for the people in my segment who like colour and will resonate with anyone who enjoys these bold colour statements. I also have been trying to incorporate what I have learned about colour composition and placement. Overall, this image shows how you can bring a touch of nature into a colourful room, that nature art doesn’t have to be all natural, but can add a vibrant colour palette if that is what you are after. This image showcases that there is nature art for all styles.
  3. The last picture of the large forest was chosen to show how well nature-themed art creates a sense of connection with the outdoors and brings a calm, peaceful energy that inspires productivity. Having the canvas fill the frame was a decision I made to highlight the versatility that my prints provide. This shows how you can choose different sizes and frames to fit any space. This visual is meant to show the convenience for a business owner to know they will be able to get exactly what they need easily and conveniently by ordering online is of great value to this segment. They also may be looking for art that brings nature elements like brick and wood together in a cohesive manner.

The painting contributes to a sense of tranquility that promotes well-being and reduces stress, which is crucial for a corporate environment. With business owners becoming more aware of art and the office environment’s contribution to focus and overall employee satisfaction, this is very appealing to them. Highlighting the paintings and their calming effects and ability to bring the outdoors in speaks to what these business owners value and will trigger an emotional connection to care about employees. This photo directly highlights how the artworks’ colours and content create a more immersive and uplifting atmosphere where they will be happier to work, be creative, and productive by integrating nature-inspired art for a more comfortable feel.

I also have incorporated what I have learned about colour composition, image placement and the rule of threes to my picture designs to make sure it follows how the viewer will absorb and engage with the images.

The two images in hotels are placed in a hotel to speak directly to my bulk order segment, specifically hospitality, wellness centres, and interior designers. These images are meant for people who are looking for easily customizable art that promotes well-being and creates lasting impressions of a calm, organic, and energising atmosphere.

This target audience aims to emotionally connect with people and try to create calming experiences for visitors or clients. My paintings create a more memorable atmosphere. The photos I chose create a strong sense of calm that will quickly resonate with the feeling they are trying to create, which will encourage them to buy. I chose hotel rooms that fit the organic appeal of nature in the home, then used my images to tie together a cohesive, organic, nature-inspired atmosphere. Inviting guests to unwind and relax. These are things that matter to this segment, as well as convenience in price, customization and picture quality, which have all been highlighted subtly in these images.

All the above images were chosen because of their relevance to the target audience segments and speak directly to each ideal customer’s needs and wants. I made them aesthetically pleasing to the eye by following the rule of three. I chose simple layouts to encourage sharability and keep the messaging of each image simple. The relevancy also ties into my brand. Making sure they speak to my brand as a whole is very important when choosing my images because they must align with who I am as a business to establish a cohesive brand identity. This all coincides with having a strategic form, feeling and function when choosing my images. These images have different functions, but all align with the same messaging and feeling, which is how my paintings bring the outdoors in to transform any space.

b. Explain in detail why the image(s) was beneficial for the post. (3 Marks)

These images are beneficial for the post because they effectively follow the principle of a strong marketing message that is led by imagery. My strategy effectively blends simplicity, relevance, and directness with key design principles such as the rule of threes, colour and placement composition, and inclusion of people engaging with the product, which creates a strong visual story. Including form, feeling, and function ensures that they not only capture attention but convey core messaging for my brand and product. They serve as powerful tools because they engage the audience emotionally and present the artwork in a real life setting to better engage the audience to visualize the paintings in their intended settings.

I tried to keep the images simple to make sure that the viewer could easily absorb the purpose behind each photo’s message. Making sure that there was minimal clutter in the setting allows the viewer to easily understand the messaging in the images which is that my paintings transform spaces positively with the power of nature.

The images are highly relevant to the different audiences’ needs and desires, which will create an emotional connection and a lasting impression on each target audience. This is positive for the post because it allows the paintings to make a direct impact and be the main focus of the images, and position my painting in the viewer’s mind as something they want to engage with and purchase. After all, it fulfills their intended purpose for exploring my site. Providing clear, high-quality photos like I have will be important to the audience as they will be able to visualize and interact with the emotions that the paintings provide when placed in a room. This direct approach is very important when marketing with images because it is not beneficial to us if the audience is confused and it is shown that good images will increase our conversion rate significantly. Following the rule of three in my image layout is important for the post because it draws the eyes of the reader to the most important elements, which are the paintings.

The colours I chose are beneficial to my post’s message because they engage different segments and allow the paintings to stand out. The plain white backgrounds allow for the paintings to be more eye catching and display how they bring any room to life with an energizing and tranquil feeling attached. The composition of the layouts ensures that the paintings remain the focal point while other elements like people, room setting, and furniture complement the different intended messages. It is simple, clean and organized, which allows the viewer to easily see how the paintings complement each space. The negative space strategically supports the message and focuses on the art and doesn’t stray the viewer away from what I am trying to get across.

The posts display strong form through the strategic layout, and elements which make this structure very appealing and easy to understand which is important so the viewer is not confused or overwhelmed. Images have a strong connection to feeling and emotional connection to each segment, which will position the paintings successfully in the viewer’s mind by allowing them to remember and visually engage with the idea of how the painting will benefit them. The function of the photos in this post is to get across my message. By showing how my artwork fits seamlessly in all kinds of spaces to boost morale, and how I have made them all very customizable to fit different environments and styles. This is very important for the success of this post and the messaging I was trying to get across about my business, which is that my paintings can enhance the mood in any space.
